Can't find the RAM memory for my iMac

I cannot find my DIMMs (1333mhz for a mid-2011 iMac) on the Apple Store. I even searched the model # (PC3-10600) and they are apparently non-existent as far as Apple is concerned. So I started searching Amazon, etc. I searched that model # and got plenty of sources that seem to match the spec EXCEPT they were all 240 pin. I CANNOT find a 204-pin. What's going on? My Mac has really slowed down with all the OSX upgrades and so forth. I want to add 2 4gb DIMMs,, but I don't want to order something from the after market if it doesn't fit obviously. Thx.

Check that.... I did some more searching and I found some 204-pin. Interestingly, several of them say 240-pin. Is that a typo perhaps? Are these after-market DIMMs reliable? Who are the good manufacturers?

Most experienced users on these forums ONLY use RAM from Crucial (buy it direct) or OWC (www.macsales.com). iMacs can be sensitive to RAM and both vendors only sell quality RAM at reasonable prices with excellent service.
